Seasonal Hourly Position
Title: Aquatic Heavy Equipment Operator/Dump Truck Driver Salary: $20.00/hr

Location: Hopatcong State Park, Landing, NJ
Work Schedule: Weekdays, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Position Information: The Lake Hopatcong Commission is seeking one (1) Heavy Equipment Operator hourly employee, as part of its Lake Hopatcong Weed Harvesting Program. This position will require working Monday through Friday of each week, with minimal time off for the duration of the harvest season. The primary responsibilities will be to operate a large weed harvester or dump truck on/around Lake Hopatcong. A valid Boating License and Boating Safety Certificate are required for this position. A Commercial Driver’s License is not required for this position.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Candidate is required to be able to operate a large machine, in a safe manner, on open water, and should have general knowledge of large machine operation.
- General mechanical knowledge is preferred.
- Candidate must be team oriented.
- A general knowledge of the geographic working area is preferred.
Other Skills: Candidate should be able to answer basic questions about the weed harvesting program, if approached by the public
Education: High School Diploma
License: A Commercial Driver’s License is not required for this position. Candidate will be required to possess a valid Boating License and Boating Safety Certificate.
